Through the eyes of nearly fifty artists who work in different Spanish and French creative centers, among which are the centers in Bilbao of Begoña Zubero and Aitor Ortiz, the city Council of Bilbao and the French Institute, in collaboration with the group ZAWP Bilbao propose a visual tour of the human footprint on its way through the earth. The exhibition passing through the earth / De passage sur la terre is composed of 48 giant photographs (175x120 cm) printed on flexible PVC canvases, hung up on June 12th on the Abandoibarra´s lampposts, between Deusto´s Bridge and La Salve´s bridge.
Umore Azoka –the Fair of Street Artists of Leioa ended its last edition with very positive numbers, which has run between May 16th and May 19th in different parts of the Biscayne town. During the four days of the event, the rain was relentless, what made to concentrate most of the performances in the sports centers of Sakoneta and Kandelazubieta, which were authorized as alternative spaces and the Leioa Kultur Auditorium. Umore-Azoka 2013 offered a total of 125 functions that gather 26,000 spectators, most of them on Friday and Saturday with almost10,000 people, and on Thursday, there were about 4,800 and on Sunday, around 1,200.
The Provincial Council of Biscay presents for the fifth consecutive year at the Arkeologi Museoa the lecture series Discover the past with the aim of presenting to the public, scholars, teachers, academics and stakeholders, the results of recent archaeological surveys conducted in our environment. The conference, which will run until June 5th, will begin on Tuesday, May 21st, with the intervention of Diego Garate and Joseba Rios, who will present the findings of the study entitled parietal art and the human occupation in the in prehistoric time.
